SUMMARY: The proposed ordinance amends the current provisions ofBMC Chapters 2.06, 2.09,
2.90, and 2.92 relating to the Office of Risk Management and Safety in order to transfer the
supervision and administration of the office from the Financial Services Department to the City
Attorney's Office, reclassify the position of Risk Manager to Risk Management Specialist and make
other changes relating to the duties and responsibilities of the Office of Risk Management and Safety.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Reclassification of the Risk Manager position to a
Risk Management Specialist will result in an annual Risk Management Fund savings of at least
$24,748.56.
