The weekly meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the City
Council Conference Room 603, of the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER, 345 6th Street,
Bremerton, Washington, Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at 5:00 PM, with Council President Cecil
McConnell presiding. Council Members present were Will Maupin, Carol Arends, Dianne Robinson,
Mike Shepherd, Roy Runyon, Adam Brockus, and Brad Gehring. Council Member Nick Wofford
was absent. Legislative Assistant Lori Smith was present to provide staff support.
President McConnell announced that the Study Session was open to the public, but there would
be no opportunities for input or participation; that no action will be taken, and the content of these
items is subject to change.

1. Reappointment of Holly James and John Ales to the Civil Service Commission - Mayor
Bozeman [Consent]
2. Reappointment of John Ales to the Arts Commission - Mayor Bozeman [Consent]
3. Reappointment of Lois Hoell to tile Planning Commission - Mayor Bozeman [Consent]
4. Purchase Agreement with DAY WIRELESS SYSTEMS for purchase of one Auto License
Plate Reader (ALPR) with Washington Auto Theft Authority Grant - Lt. Pete Fisher,
Police Department; and Brad Gehring, Public Safety & Parks Committee Chair This

5. Approve purchase of two Dry-Pit Submersible Pumps for Pump Station WB-3 from
WHITNEY EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC. - Pat Coxon, Wastewater Treatment Plant; and

6. Approval of Voluntary Separation Request for Risk Manager - Roger Lubovich, City

President McConnell adjourned the Study Session at 7:00 PM.
