CITY COUNCIL BUDGET SESSION MINUTES
Thursday, November 6, 2008
The Budget Session of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the Council
Conference Room, Room 603 of the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER located at 345 6th Street,
Bremerton, Washington, Thursday, November 6, 2008, at 4:00 PM, with Council President Will Maupin
presiding. Council members present were Nick Wofford, Carol Arends, Dianne Robinson, Mike
Shepherd, Roy Runyon, Adam Brockus, Cecil McConnell, and Brad Gehring. Legislative Assistant Lori
Smith was present to provide staff support to the Council.
President Maupin announced that the 2009 Budget Session was for the Council to hear presentations
on the proposed budget. It was further announced that this Budget Session was open to the public, but
there would be no opportunities for input or participation; that no action will be taken, and the content of
these items is subject to change.
Laura Lvon, Financial Services Director, presented information regarding the proposed 2009 Budget for
the City of Bremerton, with an overview of the "General Fund", including staffing changes, comparisons
to prior year, and a brief discussion on Departments which have proposed budgets that do not vary
significantly from the prior year.

3) Parks & Recreation - Wyn Birkenthal
4) Community Development - Andrea Spencer
5) City Attorney - Roger Lubovich

7) Engineering - Phil Williams
8) Human Resources - Laura Lyon
9) Financial Services - Laura Lyon
10) Non-Departmental - Laura Lyon
11) Municipal Court - Theresa Ewing & Judge Docter
A break in the meeting was held from 6:05 to 6:15...
With no further business, President Maupin adjourned the Study Session at approximately 8:05 PM.
