SUMMARY: In order to encourage Bremerton's pet owners to re-license their animals, one of the
methods the Kitsap Humane Society has recommended is to allow for a temporary amnesty for late
fees. The BMC does not currently allow for such a process. The revision before Council would
authorize the City Clerk to grant amnesty of the late fee for no more than a 90-day period.
