SUMMARY: The City's Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade project is currently under
construction and CH2M Hill is providing construction support services as outlined in the original
Professional Services Agreement. The scope and budget for this work was estimated prior to project
design and has proven insufficient for the level of work required. In addition the scope did not
include electronic submittal processing and tracking, or the management of the project web site which
has streamlined the submittal process. This is the second contract modification under this PSA. The
first modification increased the budget $86,230.91 for additional design and was approved
administratively by the Mayor. This modification increases the budget by $51,610.14 for a total
contract amount of$641,854.28.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The revised amount of the Professional Services
Agreement is not to exceed $641,854.28. There is sufficient budget remaining for this project to
cover this additional cost.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the Professional Services Agreement Contract
Modification Number 2 with CH2M Hill for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade and authorize
the Mayor to finalize and execute the necessary contract documents for the agreement with
substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
