SUMMARY: The City of Bremerton Police Department has a contract with the Bremerton Housing
Authority to provide police service for the Westpark Housing development. The new contract
identifies financial terms, specific services and community policing requirements. The contract
begins November 1, 2008 and is through September 30, 2009.
ATTACHMENTS: 2008/2009 Contract for.Supplemental Police Services
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The Bremerton Police Department dedicates one
Patrol officer to support the contract for one year. The BHA funds the full-time officer and services
according to the contract.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the 2008/2009 service contract with the Bremerton
Housing Authority to support community policing services in Westpark Housing and authorize the
Mayor to finalize and execute the contract with substantially the same terms and conditions as
contained in the proposed agreement.
