SUMMARY: The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is constructing the
Bremerton Ferry Tunnel Project which will include a tunnel and associated street improvements
within the SR304 corridor. The General Maintenance Agreement will establish the maintenance and
preservation responsibilities between the City and State for those improvements not covered under
Washington State RCW's.
ATTACHMENTS: 1. Council Summary, 2. General Maintenance Agreement
FISCAL IMP ACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The City will be responsible for an estimated
annual maintenance cost of $17,000 beginning in 2009. The City will also perform an estimated
$41,000 of annual reimbursable maintenance work for WSDOT. These additional costs and expected
reimbursements will be incorporated into the Street Fund (Fund 102) 2009 budget.
