SUMMARY: Bids were opened on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 for Reservoir No. 10 South-
Interior Coating Replacement Project. A total of seven (7) bids were ~eceived for the project (see
attached Bid Opening List).
The low bidder is National Industrial Painting, Inc. from University Place, W A for the Total Lump
Sum Bid of$38,393.00. The total contract amount, including Washington State Sales Tax, is
$41,694.80
The interior coating estimate not including sales tax was $39,000 to $43,000.
ATTACHMENTS: Bid Opening List; Council Summary; Water Tank Coating Evaluation, dated 10-
30-06; and Reservoir 10 South - Aerial Photo.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The Water Fund 401 Maintenance Budget listed
under "Structures & Grounds - 54830" in the amount of $343,000 shall support this project.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: That City Council approve the contract award to National Industrial
Painting, Inc., in the amount of$41,694.80 including Washington State Sales Tax, and authorize the
Mayor to finalize and execute the Contract.
