The City of Bremerton Parks and Recreation will install two
interpretive signs in Stephenson Canyon Park, as part of a passive
recreational improvement project to be completed in 2008.
I will research, write, and design two 24-inch by 36-inch
interpretive signs. The first will include a map of the park;
information about the park's history and acquisition; and a short
discussion ofthe park's current and future importance to the
community both for recreation and for habitat for native plants and
animals. The second will focus on the importance of maintaining.
native plant diversity in the park, the implications of non-native
invasive and noxious plants, and the role that individuals and
groups can play in maintaining the natural health of Stephenson
Canyon, other similar areas, and the larger community.
Hours, rate, cost: I estimate this job will require between 18 and 22 hours to
complete. At the rate of $40/hour, the estimated cost is $720 -
$880.
