SUMMARY: The Bremerton Police Department applied to the Washington Auto Theft Authority and
was approved for an award of $30,000.00 for the purchase of one auto license plate reader (ALPR) for
the Auto License Plate Recognition Program. No matching funds are required of the City. The total
grant amount is $30,000.00. The grant expires June 30, 2009.

FISCAL IMP ACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): None. The ALPR funding is a revenue source for
$30,000.00. It will provide dollars for training, equipment and installation purchases. The revenue
