I. SUMMARY: In 2007 the Department of Ecolo.gyissued Stonnwatel' P.ermits to., "Phase II" communities,
including KhsapCounty and each ofits.'cities. This. permit requires development ofa comprehensive stonnwater
program designed to prevent pollution ofstOlmwater runoff and includes specific requirements for public
outreach and invo.lvement Kitsap County and its cities have beencoordillatingstormwater public outreach for
several years but this new penn it makes this coordination even more important. A newgl'oup called the Kitsap
Peninsula Clean Runoff Collaborative is' proposed from 2008 through 20 II. to:

that calise or contribute to adversestonnwater impacts, "
