SUMMARY: The forcemain from Pump Station OB-l failed on June 4, 2008 which resulted in the
uncontrolled release of sanitary sewage into Oyster Bay. City staff have performed tests on the
pipeline at a number of key locations, and believe that the pipe is in jeopardy of repeated failure in the
segment north of Kitsap Way, and within Pump station OB-1.

FISCAL IMP ACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): A detailed cost estimate has not been developed at
this time; the preliminary estimate is $150,000. The project will be funded using Substandard
Sanitary Sewer Main Replacement budget - a budget adjustment is not required.
