SUMMARY: RCW 39.04.155 allows cities to establish a Small Works Roster for different
specialties or categories of anticipated work. Traditionally, local municipalities have managed and
funded small Public Works Contractor Rosters. MRSC has developed MRSC Rosters, a statewide
shared Roster system to provide municipalities with a cost-effective and more efficient way to search
for potential bidders, and one which offers contracts a more convenient way to market their services
to municipalities statewide.
In order to join the MRSC Rosters, Council must adopt a Resolution establishing a Small Works
Roster Process to award Public Works contracts and a Consulting Services Roster for Architectural,
Engineering and other Professional Services. A contract between MRSC and the City will then be
executed. The cost for services for a City our size is $500 per year.
