SUMMARY: The duties of the Office Assistant Senior in the Finance Division have long included
acting as back-up for the City Clerk when necessary. Over time the duties and responsibilities have
become more related to the support of the City Clerk as a Deputy City Clerk and less defined by the
classification of Office Assistant Senior. Due to the confidential nature and responsibilities assigned
to this proposed position, it is recommended that the position be titled Deputy City Clerk and the pay
range for this position be set af' --~nx.de;: 12 in the Non-Uniformed Represented Employees Salary
Schedule. The pay band adjustment will place this proposed position at a pay range comparable with
similar Deputy City Clerk positions in other jurisdictions.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The projected annual cost difference is anticipated
to be $3,202.20, including salary and benefits.
