SUMMARY: Sealed bids for construction of the project titled "BKAT Studio Addition" were
opened on Weds., April 16, 2008. Five (5) bids were received for this project. A.M. James was the
lowest responsive, responsible bidder with a bid of $216,928.50 (including sales tax).
In its Franchise agreement with Comcast, the City of Bremerton is required to relocate the BKA T
studio from its current location in the Comcast Building (1225 Sylvan Way) to its Administration
Office (7266 Tibardis Rd). Additional capital funding was provided to the City from Comcast to
facilitate this relocation.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Construction of this project is funded by the
additional capital funding provided by Comcast per the terms of the new franchise agreement with the
remainder coming from the BKA T Fund's ongoing revenue mix of franchise fees, production fees,
and PEG capital funding. This capital expenditure is included in the current 2008 budget.
