SUMMARY: To increase commtinity outreach and joint programming with Bremerton non-profit.
agencies, the Parks and Recreation Department is requesting the upgrade of a Recreation Coordinator
I position to a Coordinator II level, and the upgrade of a Recreation Coordinator II position to a
Coordinator III level. This will create promotional opportunities for current employees as it is our
intent to do an internal promotional process only. This request will not require an increase in the 2008
Parks and Recreation personnel budget aJid the Department's FTE level will remain at the current
level. The item was discussed at the April 9th Public Safety and Parks Committee meeting.
ATTACHMENTS: HiringlPromotional Testing Request, Recreation Program Coordinator n and III
job descriptions.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This request will not require an increase in the
2008 Parks & Recreation personnel budget.
