SUMMARY: Replacement of aging and non-supported Traconex controllers with Econolite traffic
signal controllers for improved traffic management at 10 signalized intersections. This purchase is a
recommended sole source procurement from Econolite. Econolite controllers are the standard traffic
controller for the city of Bremerton and are being incorporated into all 37 signalized intersections as
normal replacements are made in the system.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The purchase of these new controllers is included
in the 2008 Capital budget
