SUMMARY: The sewer in Sheldon Boulevard is deteriorated and needs to be replaced. In addition
the pressure main from sewer pump station CE-3 needs to be replaced. The Engineering Division has
obtained a PWTF loan for the design and construction of the gravity sewer in Sheldon Boulevard.
There are also funds in the Wastewater Capital Budget for construction of the pressure main. The
Engineering Division has chosen RH2 Engineers from a list of qualified engineering firms for this
type of work. A scope of work, cost and schedule is included in the exhibits attached to the
Professional Services Agreement.
ATTACHMENTS: 1. Council Summary; 2. Professional Services Agreement.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): $500,000 is budgeted in the 2008 Wastewater
Capital budget. The PWTF loan identifies $30,000 for design. The cost of this contract is
$67,678.00.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the Professional Services Agreement with RH2
Engineers, Inc. to provide engineering design services for the sewer in Sheldon Boulevard and
authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the necessary agreement with substantially the same terms
and conditions as presented.
