SUMMARY: The Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council has invited all local agencies to come
together to form Kit-Net, a fiber optic network based on the Kitsap Public Utilities District
deployment of a fiber trunk throughout the County. The network will be used primarily for general
communication betWeen the agencies and secondarily as a communication channel in the event of a
local or regional emergency. By signing the ILA, the City becomes a member of Kit-Net.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Inter-local Agreement with Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council making
Bremerton a part of the Kit-Net fiber optic network and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the
agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented, subject to the final approval of
the City Attorney.
