SUMMARY: The approved 2008 budget supports replacement of three Fire Department vans in
2008. These vehicles are scheduled replacements. The budget also includes one vehicle as an
expansion of the current fleet. All these vehicles will be 2009 Ford Escape Hybrids. Thesevehicles
will be purchased utilizing State Contract # 04907 (attached) and the dealer is Columbia Ford of
Longview Washington. Total contract cost for th~se four Hybrid Escapes is $110,195.64 including
sales tax. Approximately $9,000 in additional replacement funds will be used to provide th~se
vehicles with radios, safety lights, and other necessary equipment.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): All costs for these four vehicles w~ll be provided
by available replacement funding and a $20,000 additional vehicle allowance in the 2008 budget~
