SUMMARY:
The 2008 budget includes replacement of five Ford Crown Victoria patrol vehicles. City Council is
asked to authorize this purchase from the State of Washington purchasing contract # 04406. The
purchases will be from Columbia Ford of Longview, Washington, as specified in the State contract,
at a total cost for the vehicles of$122,894.28 including sales tax. The cost to have these green
vehicles built into functioning patrol cars is estimated to be $40,000 and will be the subject of
separate council action in mid-2008.

FISCAL IMP ACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This is a scheduled replacement and is authorized
inthe 2008 budget. The total cost for replacing five patrol cars is estimated at $163,000
