SUMMARY: The City Attorney's Office has been presented with a quote from Thomson West to
enter into a three-year contract that consolidates all of its current West1aw legal research
subscriptions. Consolidating the contracts provides a discount for increased services. The
consolidation increases the current contract by approximately $71 per month, with a 5% CPI
adjustment on each anniversary of the contract. The total three-year cost for the contract will exceed
$25,000.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The City Attorney's Office budget has sufficient
funds available in the 2008 budget to fund this increase.
