SUMMARY: Due to extraordinary workers' compensation medical costs and tort litigation defense
costs incurred during 2007, a risk management budget adjustment of $222,000 is requested.
Authorization is requested to reduce the ending fund balance in the risk management fund by
$222,000 and to increase the 2007 risk management budget for workers' compensation personnel
benefits by $100,000, the workers' compensation disability pay budget by $10,000, and the insurance
claim payments budget by $112,000.
ATTACHMENTS: None
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The ending balance in the risk management fund
will be reduced by $222,000.
