SUMMARY: The City has received the final Agreed Order from the Washington Department of
Ecology for conducting a remedial investigation/feasibility study and interim action plan in order to
develop a final cleanup action plan of the former Chevron property.
ATTACHMENTS: Proposed Agreed Order for Remedial Investigation/feasibility Study and
Interim Action
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The total cost of remediation of the Chevron
Property is estimated to be $2.7 million. It is expected that the City will be reimbursed for at least
75% of this cost which would leave the City's expense as $675,000.
