The weekly meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the City
Council Chambers, of the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER 345 6th Street, Bremerton,
VVashington, VVednesday, August 22,2.0.07, at 5:3.0 PM, with Council President Maupin
presiding. Council members present were Nick VVofford, Carol Arends, Dianne Robinson,
VVendy Priest, Adam Brockus, Cecil McConnell, and Brad Gehring. Council Member Mike
Shepherd was absent. Also present were City Attorney Roger Lubovich; Deputy City Clerk
Cherie Henry; and Legislative Assistant Lori Smith.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council Member Brad Gehrina followed by the
invocation provided by Reverend Debbie Little of First Christian Church.
President Maupin announced that a Pre-Council Session was held prior to the meeting to
discuss General Council Business and to hear an update by City Attorney Roger Lubovich on
the "Appointments to the Pro & Con Committees for Proposition NO.1" (with action anticipated);
thanked Reverend Little for her kind words of support for the City employee who was seriously
injured today; and wished Council Member Carol Arends a very "Happy Birthday".
PUBLIC RECOGNITION & ANNOUNCEMENTS - There were no comments or
announcements. . .
CONSENT AGENDA
A. Check Numbers 318956 through 319113; and EFT-7312 through EFT-7318 in the amount
of $9.0.0,881..04 for the period ending August 22,2.0.07; and Regular Payroll in the amount of
$752,.06.0.47 for the period ending August 15, 2.0.07 (#AB.o7-2.o1)
B. Appointments to the Pro & Con Committees for Proposition No.1, a Ballot Measure to raise
the Property tax levy rate (#AB.o7 -2.02)

GENERAL BUSINESS - There were no General Business items...
VVith no further business, President Maupin adjourned the Council Meeting at 5:35 PM. The
Council reconvened in the Council Conference Room for a STUDY SESSION to hear
presentations on upcoming agenda items.
