SUMMARY: City Council is required to formally appoint Committees to write statements "For" and
"Against" General Election Ballot Measures. A ballot measure authorizing an increase in the City's
regular property tax levy to provide funding for maintenance and operations of parks facilities;
implementation of a community improvement program; improving and constructing sidewalks; and
renovation, improvement and development of neighborhood parks will be placed on the November 6,
2007 General Election. Each Committee may have up to three members, however, a Committee may
seek the advice of any person in preparing their statement(s).
