SUMMARY: The purpose of the WWTP Upgrade Project is to address equipment redundancy
and aging equipment needs to maintain continued reliable operations of the treatment plant.
One component of the project is the replacement of the rotating assembly on the existing
Humboldt 53-01 Centrifuge. Due to its age, and the scarcity of replacement parts, it has been
found to be more cost effective to replace the existing rotating assembly with a reconditioned
one. There were only two companies who were able to locate and provide proposals on complete
rotating assemblies, CONTEC Centrifuges and Centrisys Corporation..
