5A - APPROVAL OF PUBLIC DISPLAY OF FIREWORKS AT MILLER WOODLAWN
CEMETERY FOR THE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE ON MAY 27.2007 (#AB07-130l: Ken
BaQwell, Assistant City Attorney explained that a request was recently received to have a
professional public display of fireworks on May 27,2007 in honor of a Memorial Day Candlelight
Service. Because the City's ordinance is silent on this issue, State Law requires that the City
Council must approve this type of display. Therefore, they are seeking authorization from the
City Council to approve this action subject to the Fire Marshal completing his investigation to
make sure that all the proper paperwork is in place and that there are no safety issues.
There were no comments from the public.
