SUMMARY: The interlocal agreement is with Kitsap County Sheriff and Police Departments of Port
Orchard, Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island and Bremerton. The document contains 19 sections. Some titles
are the duration, scope, purpose, financing, administration, operations, task force coordinator,
employment, and use of property. The Task Force directly contributes to the reduction and severity of
traffic related deaths and injuries in Bremerton and Kitsap County. The agreement is in effect until
December 31, 20 II.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Task Force funding is a cost sharing expenditure.
For 2007, the City's obligation is $3,000.00 and is in the Police Department budget.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the Interlocal Agreement for Mutual Aid and

with substantially the same terms and conditions as contained in the proposed interlocal agreement.
