2006 Project Carry Forward Items

SUMMARY: Several projects that were underway at the end of 2006 and/or expected to be
completed prior to the end of 2006 - were not completed by year end as anticipated. The attached
schedule to this agenda bill includes a listing (by fund) of the previously approved expenditures and
related revenue items that were not concluded. These expenditures now require a budget adjustment
to authorize these expenditures to occur in 2007. Funds for these expenditures are provided by the
carry forward of greater fund balances from 2006 (resulting from these expenditures not occurring as \
originally planned) and/or from delayed receipt of identified revenue sources that also carry forward
into 2007.

to be carried forward to 2007
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): These project expenditures were previously
approved and budgeted for. The effect of not completing these expenditures in 2006 is that the ending
fund balances of the affected funds are greater than the 2007 budget anticipated beginning fund
balances to be. The 2007 budget amendment for these expenditures will be provided for from the
carry forward of these greater fund balances and/or from delayed receipt of identified revenue sources
that also carry forward into 2007.
