Summary of what service your organization intends
to provide by receiving funding.
Funds shall be used solely for the purpose of paying all or any part of the cost of tourism
promotion. Through marketing venues, the WSSEF Board will advertise, publicize and
distribute information for the sole purpose of attracting and welcoming tourists to the 50th
Annual Washington State Science & Engineering Fair hosted in the City ofBremerton.
Marketing venues will include, but not be limited to, developing promotional materials, two
flyers (October and February), brochures and distributing via e-mail and direct mail with
consistent e-mail reminders. WSSEF utilizes media publication releases, provides photographs,
display presentation boards and a continuously updated web site to attract tourists. In addition,
WSSEF collaborates with various organizations through publications and various activities to
disseminate information designed to attract visitors and encourage growth in tourism by WSSEF
participants traveling to Bremerton.
One hundred percent ofthe funds received are allocated to marketing the Fair, resulting in
enhanced tourism by bringing people to Bremerton. Once here, they visit the community, stay in
hotels and motels, eat in restaurants, shop in boutiques and stores, visit public attractions, enjoy
the boardwalk, parks and generally spend money in Bremerton.
Thus, our tourism marketing efforts directly benefit Bremerton commerce organizations, and
increase business profits by highlighting tourist activities, providing access to theatres, parks,
libraries and our local college campus for tourists to enjoy today and in the future.
