SUMMARY: The Department of Community Development has selected VIA Architecture to
develop a sub area plan for the Downtown Regional Center. The plan will include public outreach,
development of form-based zoning code and standards, circulation plan and parking strategies, and
development of streetscape standards.
ATTACHMENTS: 1) Professional Services Contract with VIA Architecture and Exhibits; 2) VIA
Architecture proposal document.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Total contract amount not to exceed $99,500 with
out-of-pocket expenses for DCD of$500 expected for a total cost of$IOO,OOO.. $35,000 from 2006
CTED implementation grant. $65,000 allocated by City Council in 2007 budget.
