Reading of requisition fro. King for feed for the teaa.
Referred to the purchasing committee.
Reading of comunication from W.E.Butler and Co. in re auditig books for the
past jen monthe.Palmer stated that as the books had been audited up to
sept. 30 he thought it unnecessary to have audited at this time.
Moved by Palmer sec. by Crawford that the comunication be placed on file.
Carried. Atty repo~ted having seen Mr. Bremer who had agreed to remove the
bill board at the foot of second street;But atty. advised that it would be
well to inaruct tha Marshall to take the bill board down if it was not remo.
Moved by Urban~ec. by Palmer that the Marshall be instructed to see Mr.
Bremer and ask hiln to remove the bill board acrOBS the alley near the foot
of Second street and if the same is not removed that the marshall be
instructed to removeI the eame. Carried.
Moved by Palmer sec. by Arnold that the vote taken last weekon the question
of exchanging tlle foot of Pacific Ave. ~ and ten feet on the north-margin
of Mill street for the land necessary 'to extend Mill street to Sheldon Blvd.

Moved by FOBS sec. that the matter be postponed untill the first of theXjIK
year. No second. ,
Moved by Pallner sec. by Arnold that the council declare their intention to
vacate the end of Pacific north of Mill s~reet and ten feet from the north
margin of Mill street. the same to be exchanged for the land necessary to e
extend Mill street to Sheld~n Blvd. Foss objected to the motion. Roll call
Crawford~aye;Urban~aye;Arnold.aye;Miles.ayejPalmer aye;FoBB,no. Carried
Purchasing committee reported having bought 50 feet of hose for the fire
hall 'of Co. 1. Building committee submitted plana of the fire hall for Co. 2
Same where examined by the council.
Moved by Palmer sec. by Miles that the plans be referred back for correction
Carried. Dr. Holmes stated that land for a street from Pacific Ave. to
Pleasant Ave. opposite the Fire hall could be secured, now for $45.00 per
foot. and asked that the council consider the matter. Referred to the
street and alley committee. ,
Cemetary cOlnmittee submitted plat of the cemetary as resurveyed.
Moved by FOBS sec. by Crawford that [the plat be approved as submitted. CarrA
Arnold atated that the G.A.R. want additional land at the cemetary and
urged that the lata they want be Bold as cheap as possIble to them.
Palmer urged tllat tIle lots desired be aold for $ 100.OOt
Moved by ~oss sec. by Crawford that the 16 lata wanted by the G.A.R. be sold
to them for $ 75.00_ Carried
Atty. stated that in the M)M,Brown case on appeal to the Supreme Court and
the Mc.Gil11vray case to be tried shortly the City Atty for the ensuing
year will be disqualified from acting as the attorney for, the c1 ty and
suggested that an atty. be retained in the matter.
Arnold stated tllat as Mr. Moore has intimate knowledge of these cases it
Beem advisable to employ him. Moore stated that he would represent the city
in the Brown case now on appeal in the Suprel11e court for a fee of $ 100.00
Moved by Arnold sec. by Miles that Mr. M0028 be retained to represent the
City of Bremerton after Jan. 2 1912 in the case of the city VB. Brown~for
the purpose of looking after the cities interets and presenting and briefing
said case in the Supreme court,to receive for such services the ~ sum of
$ lOO.OO.The said employment being necessary because the incoming city Atty.
J.W.Bryan is diaquali!ied being council for the reppondent Mrs. Mary M.Brown
Carried.Billa presented. Moved by Miles sec. by Crawford that the bill for
second ward election board be allowed.Carr1ed.

on evergreen shrubs and the necessary help to plant the same XIX at Ivygreen
