Regular meeting of the council of tIle city of Bremerton r.
Called to order by Mayor F.A.Harlowo Present councilmen Crawford,Urban,Miles,
Arnold,BuffingtonJPalmer and Foaso Attyt Moore.
Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved.
Comunicatien from Bryan and ~ngle read stating that Silas Smith had assigned
interest in awards made in the condemnation proceedings to ~ohn Levine
read and ordered filed.
Reading of comunication from the Gamewell Co. asking that action on fire
alarm system be deferred untill they could get into comunication withI the CD
council. FOBS satated that the cmunication Was in answer to a request made by
him for particulars as to the fire alarm system put ih by them.
street and alley committee reported that work on Pleasant Ave, Sewer is
finished and recomended.that the same be accep ted.
Moved by Palmer sec. by Crawford that the work on Pleasant Ave. Sewer be
accepted. Carried. "
Palmer reported that ninth street is ~early impassible and urged that same
be graveled. Melzer asked for a team to haul sand and gravel.
Movea by Arnold sec. by Miles that the request be granted. Carried.
Clerk asked for a new Ordinance record book and certificates of election.
Moved by Palmer sec. by Arnold that the purcaaing committee be instructed
get the same. Carried. .
Building committee submitted revised plans of the fire hall of Co. 2.
lvioved by Palmer sec. by Miles that the same be approved and tIle building corom
be instructed to get regular plana and specifications and have the Bame ready
by next council meeting. Carried.
Atty,reported that proceedings for he condemnation of the extention of
Mill street had been filed. Arnold reported that he had spoken with Mr,
Kennedy of the Mill co. in regard to deeaigg the end of Pacifiv Ave,
MX<< and ten feet fromthe north side of Mill street for the two lots needed
to open Mill street through to Sheldom Blvd. and that Mr. Kennedy has agreed
to make the exchange.
Moved by Arnold sec. by Urban that the end of Pacifiu Ave. and ten feet fromt
the north margin of Mill street be exchanged for the 30 feet neccessary to X
extend Mill street to Sheldon Blvd.
Miles and Foss opposed the trade 0 Roll Call.

'Miles asked if Bremer haB any right to put up a sign board across the alley
at the foot 6r'second street.
Clerk stated tl1at the alley had been vacated by tIle county conunissioners
ten years or more ago_ befor the city was incorporated.
Ivfoved by Foss sec. by Crawford that the lnatter be referred tp the city
attorney.
Reading of comunication from th.e Underwriters association stating that
the insurance rates would be reduced if a Auto truck an([ a Fire alarm
system would be installed.
