Regul~ meeting of the counci1 'of the ci ty of Bremerton.'Called to order b'
Mayor F.A.Harlow. Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved.
Present councilmen Crawford.Urban,Miles,ArnoldJBuffington,Palaer and Atty.
Moore.Reading of comunication from the publiC service commiBsion stating that
the comp~aint of the city of Bremerton in regard to the rates charged by the
Eremerton Water and Power Co. will be taken up as soon as the commission ~
returns from a hearing. Ordered filed.
Mayor stated that request had been made to prohibit the sale of intoxicating
liquor to E. Barry.
Moved by Urban sec. by Palmer that the matter be laid over tor one week.Carrd
Discussion of the matter of putting interest on General Fund warrants at
7 per cent. Moved by Buffdngton see by Arnold ~hat the matter be laid over IA
one week. Carried.
Arnold suggested that a new fire hall be built for company no.2 in the sprig
and the old hall repaired for the present.
Committee instructed to have plans for new hall ready.by next meeting.
Reading of report from Supt'. Thom.pson enclosing check for $ 18.00 in payment
of cemetary lots 801~. Referred to the finance committee.
Atty reported that 'Mr. Kenyon had been ordered'to present a bill of particu
lars in the case now pending before the court.
Also stated tl~t the wharf matter has been ready for trial for ninety days
but has been delayed as Judge Yakey refuses to call a jury gor one ease, but
that a jury will be drawn shortlY.iBills presented.

Moved by Crawford sec. by Urban tllat tl1.e bills be paid. Carried
Palmer urged that Mr. Rienhartda offer for Union street be accepted and that
the rest of the pDoperty'ownera in that vicinity be asked to sign the deed
and open the street through.
Hoved by Palmer Bec. by Urban tllat the ma tter be referred to the street and :3,
alley committee ,the city atty. and the city_ engineer. Carried.
Arnold submitted plat of the cemetary as resuveyed. Same was examined by the
council. Moved hy Arnold sec. by Buffington that the cemetary be platted as f
far as the curved Boad shown on the plat. Carried.
The following where appionted as election officers.

Moved by Arnold sec. by Buffington that the above be appionted as election
officers for the municipal election to be held Dec. 5 1911, and that the
judges be reccomended to employ lady clerka. Carried.
It was also urged that all outside of 'he Navy Yard be requested to vote befa
re 4 o'clock P.M..
Crawford urged that the manhole on 9th and pleasant be finished so that that
part of the street cm1 be used. Arnold stated that ltt. Thompson had been appd
ointed inspector of the sewer and rewusated that the same be confirmed.
Moved by Arnold'aec. by Buffington th at W.J.Thompson be appoiated as sewer
insector for' the sewer on Pleasant Ave. Carried.
Moved by Urban sec. 'by Palmer to adjourn. Carried.
