Regular Ineeting of the council of the city of Bremertob called to order
by Mayor F?A.Harlow. Present councilmen Urban,CrawfordJArno1d,Buffington.
Palmer and Foss; Atty. Moore.
Minutes of the previous read and approved.
Reading of petition from Sam. Goldsworthy et al asking that Burton Ave.
be graded and guttered. Foss urged that the entiere district be graded at one
time. !~ved by Urban sec. by Palmer that the matter be referred to t~e street
and alley co~mittee. Carried. Discussion of the bill of N. Mersch for extra
digging for a llyn wIlen lnaking sewer connection.
Pallner suggested that the plumbers be paid for the extra work in locating
"Y'*B. Crawford and FOBS were opposed to t~-~e payment.
~oved by FOBS sec. by Crawford that the council do not pay for extra work
done while locating flY tis, in sewers. Carried.

Third reading of franchise ordinance providing for a gas plant.
Fire light and water comm. asked for more tilne on the drinking fountain on
front street. ~ granted.
ReadinG of ordinance providing for the payment of the publishing of of franch
iBe ordinances by the grantees. ~
Moved by Foes that the ordinance be passed under suspension of the rules.

Reading of resolution providing for the sewering of Pleasant Ave. from Mill
street to the present sewer.
Ivloved by FOBS sec. by Crawford that the resolution be passed as read and
ordered published. Carried.
Clerk reported that D. Pozzollo had refused refund of license tendered him by
the inarshall. Mr. J.\V.Bryan addressed the council in the matter.
Mayor stated that the man had aggread to sell only vegetables raised by
himself and urged that the ordinance against peddling HIXKXK other matter be
strictly enforced. First raeding of ordinance revoking the license of J.
handon and D. Pozzollo. Health and sanitation comma to ascertain ~f the
Port Orchard market is connected with the S~Ner.
Discussion of the matter of the paying of he water at the cemetary.
Mr. ThoJupson stated that mt was entirely impossible for hin to ppay for the
water as XXI he was getting only .50 cta per plot for taking care of the same

Discussion of the gas franchise. 1~. Rand~h addressed the council and stated
that the company wanted to begin oparations just as soon as Possible. and
asked that the council take action as quickly as advi6able.l~. Randolph agred
to pay for the publishing ~f the franchise ordinance ·

Moved by Palmer sec. by Arnold that $1.25 gas be accepted inXKXOCX lieuof a
percentage of the gross receipts as decided at last meeting, and that a 15
year option of purchaae'be theX city be incorporated in the franchise.
