Regular meeting of the council of the city of Bremerton Called to order
by Mayor F.A.Harlow. Present councdlmen Crawford,Milea,ArnoldJand Palmer
and At ty. lloore.
Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved,
Reading ~of application for perlnit to put up a sign above the Broadway
tailor shop. Laid over.
Communication fron the industrial insurance commission referred to the atty.
Request of the Machinists Union for a permit to put up a sign acrOBS the
street at Front and Pacific Ave. granted.
Reading of request from B.S.Bettman Baking permission to put up a clock in
front of hie place of business. Granted.
Clerk submitted .bond of John Kelly for pool License. Atty reported same
properly drawn. Bond accepted,
Reading of communication iron Senator Poindexter stating that he had endor )-
sed that application of the city for two cannon to be used for onamental
purposes. Ordered filed.
Purcasing Camm. instructed to get light globes and six chairs for the
police court.
Reading of report from the supt. of the cemetary showing rece1~tBof 32.00
Reading of report "" .... police judge showing receipts of i 396.00

All reports referred to finance committee.
P~nold reported that the maney necessary for making the new road to the
rifle range had all been secured and that the work would be dnone shortly.
Mayor appointed Arnold and Crawford on the finance co~n. the regular

Clerk Bubmitted three bids for ~he keepera lodge at the cemetary.
Movod by Palmer sec. by Crdford that the bide be laid overuntill more of
the council are present. Carried,
Arnold reported that 1~. Simkins an Engineer had stated that the sewer on
~ark Ave, cannot be lowered.
Wm. King asked for a furlough and stated that lJr. Woodcock would take his
place during that time. .
