Regularmeeting\of the council of the city of Bremerton called to order
by 1myor F.A.Harlow.Present councilmen Crawford,Urban,Miles,Arnold,Euffington
Palmerand FOSB; Atty. Moore.
Minutes of the peviouB meet'ng read and approved.
street and alle y Comm. submitted assessment roll of improvement Distr. 49
9th street, ehowiug total costjof work$3.78?16; cost per front foot $1.60
and reported that the work had been checked up with the contractor.
Moved by Miles sec. byCrawford that the report be laid over for one week.
Carried. Moved by Foes see.by Crawford that mr Thompsen be notified to
order supplies through the purchasing committee and not on his own account.
Carried. Building committee recomended that XXI a permit for an additional XK
story on the ~aft House be granted. Moved by ArnOld sec. by Urban that the
permit be granted. Carried.
Buffington reported that Admiral Cottman would recomen& that the city be
allowed to connect with the y~rd salt water system upon filing of a written
application showing tlie"way c6J1lIl~ot'ion will be made. Buffington suggested tha
salt water hydrants be placed as follows; Front and Washington Ave. Third
and Washington Ave. Second And Pacific Ave. Fourth and Pacific Ave.
Moved by Buffington Bee. by Urban that t>>e mains be placed as reccomended
and the Attorney be instructed to make out the necessary application. Carried
Atty. reported that the city had won the Nels Nelson suit. 1
Anold reported that the park board hadelosed the road at the edge of the wat~
in the park and urged tllat the same be opened again.
Dr. Holmes urged that steps be taken to Bee that flies are destroyed and
suggested as a starter that the city order a fly tight box for the manure at
fire station 1. also that ciculars giving instruction how to proceed against
the fly pests be distributed. Mayor Harlow heartjly endoEAed the idea.

Moved by Miles Bee. by Urban that the plahs for he kaepera lodge be referred
to the building committee .carried.
Miles reported that a Mr. Morash wishes to trade a younger team for the Fire
team now owned by the city, and that he will bring his team to the city to
let the council Bee them and try them.

out what his team is lik~. Carried. !

constudting the keepers lodge at the cemetary..
