SUMMARY: The Kitsap Countywide Planning Policies (CPP's) are a regional framework prepared
by local governments to coordinate jurisdictional growth planning as directed by the State Growth
Management Act. The CPP's were originally adopted and ratified by all Kitsap County local
governments in 1992 and have subsequently been amended in 2000, 2001, 2003, and 2004. The
proposed 2007 amendments address such items as reasonable measures and the creation of land
utilization and monitoring program. These amendments were unanimously recommended by the
KRCC Board on December 5, 2006 and adopted by the Kitsap Board of County Commissioners on
February 12,2007. City Council ratification of the amendments is requested to be compliant with the
procedures outlined in the CPP's.
