SUMMARY: During the 2007 Budget Process, a desk audit was being conducted by the Civil
Service Officer on the Lead Automotive Equipment Technician classification. This desk audit was
not completed until after the 2007 budget was approved. The desk audit recommended that the Lead
Automotive Technician be reclassified as an Automotive Equipment Technician Supervisor and that
the pay band be changed from band 15 to band 17 to remain consistent with other supervisor positions
within the City. The requested budget adjustment would remove the position of Lead Automotive
Equipment Technician and replace it with Automotive Equipment Technician Supervisor and place
the new position at Pay Band 17.

Pay Band 17 effective January 1,2007.
