SUMMARY: In July 2006 the Managing Engineer in the Engineering Division resigned. This
position has been advertised in local newspapers twice and has been advertised on the City's website
and the A WC website. A highly qualified candidate was found and is interested in the position. Due to
the high qulifications of the candidate it is proposed he be hired at Pay Band 16 Rate 8 ($87,676.80).
In addition $1,000 of relocation expenses be paid by the City

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This position is budgeted for 2007. There are
sufficient funds in the Engineering operations budget to fund the relocation
