A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, Washington, approving entry into change order related
to the Harborside Fountain Park and Heritage Museum and Events
Addition.
WHEREAS, The City and Synergy Construction, Inc. entered into a contract on
December 1, 2005 for the development of Harborside Fountain Park and Heritage Museum and
Events Addition; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to enter into a change order to the contract in the
amount of $1,750,000 for work to be performed within the scope of the contract; and
WHEREAS, expenditures in the form of a change order in the amount of
$1,750,000 for completion of the project are reasonable and necessary; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76.110 of the Bremerton Municipal Code, City
Council must approve change orders of an aggregated value exceeding $200,000 for contracts
greater than $500,000;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON,
WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Avproval. Pursuant to Bremerton Municipal Code 2.76.110, the
City Council authorizes and approves entry into a change order totaling $1,750,000 for the
Synergy Harborside Fountain Park and Heritage Museum and Events Addition contract
previously entered into on December 1, 2005 for work to be performed within the scope ofthe
contract in order to complete the project.
SECTION 2. Severabilitv. If anyone or more sections, subsections, or
sentences of this Resolution are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not
affect the validity ofthe remaining portion of this Resolution and the same shall remain in full
force and effect.
SECTION 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage. ~
