SUMMARY: Bids were opened on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 for Reservoir No. 16 - Interior Coating
Replacement Project. A total of nine (9) bids were received for the project (see attached Bid Opening
List).
The low bidder is Coating Applicators, Inc. from Stanwood, W A for the Total Lump Sum Bid of
$119,200.00. The total contract amount, including Washington State Sales Tax, is $129,451.20
The interior coating estimate was $133,000 to $137,000.
ATTACHMENTS: Bid Opening List; Water Tank Coating Evaluation, dated 2-22-2000; and
Reservoir 16 - Aerial Photo.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The Water Fund 401 Maintenance Budget listed
under "Structures & Grounds - 54830" in the amount of$185,000 shall support this project.

Applicators, Inc. in the amount of $129,451.20 including Washington State Sales Tax, and authorize
the Mayor to finalize and execute the Contract.
