HomeMy WebLinkAbout325 WHEREAS, the Valley Construction Company entered into a contract with the City
of Bremerton for the installation of water mains, as more fully provided in said
contract, and
WHEREAS, the completion date of said contract provided that December 8, 1942,
should be the date by which said contract was completed, and
WHEREAS, the said Valley Construction Company was delayed in the completion of
said contract due to their inability to secure the necessary materials and skilled
labo~ in order to complete said contract within the time provided, and therefore
have requested on extension of time of two hundred ninety-eight days beyond the
completion date of December 8, 1942, in order to avoid any liability on their
completion bond, and
~G~EREAS, the City of Bremerton realizes that due to the national emergency the
difficulty in procuring materials and labor and the delay in completion of said
contract was unavoidable,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Valley Construction Company be and they
are hereby granted an extension of two hundred ninety-eight days beyond the completio~
date of December 8, 1942, in order to fulfill that certain contract for the install-
ation of 24 inch water mains in connection with WASH Project ~5-168.
Passed by the City Council this 3rd ~ay of November, 1943, and signed by the
Acting Mayor and' City Clerk in authentication of such passage.
