RESOLUTION NO. 311
WHEREAS, the County of Kitsap, State of Washington, foreclosed for general
taxes on the following described real property, to-wit: Part of Lot 5, Block 4,
V~arren ,~v, ith's Acre Tracts, Beginning 7.8 feet South of the ~orthwest corner of
said Lot 5, thence South 60 feet, thence East 136.85 feet, more or less thence
North 60 feet, thence West 136.85 feet more or less to beginning, situate f.n
Kitsap County, Washington, and the said property was ~truck off to the said Co~mty
or Kitsap at the tax foreclosure sale, there were delinquent assessments against
the said property payable to different local improvement 8istricts in the City
of Bremerton, mud the City of i~remerton did pay to Kitsap County the taxes thereon
as by law provided and has now a Tressurer's Deed to the said property, and the
said City of Bremerton is desirous of selling said property to pay the taxes a:~.
r'..elinquent assessments assessed against the real.property, and
WHEREAS, The City Co~ncil detenmined by resolution passed on the 16th day of
December 1942, to sell said property to the highest and best bidder for cash and
the said property was advertised for sale in the official city newspaper and John
R. Winnington and Gussie B. Winnington, his wife, made the highest and best
to-wit, the s'~n of $375.00, and the City Council of the City of Bremerton has
accepted said bid and desires to sell the said property to the successful bidders,
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLUED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton that the Nayor
and City Clerk thereof, be and they are hereby authorized and directed to sell
sa~d above described real property to John R. Ninnington and Gussie B. Winnington,
his wife, for the total purchase price of $375.00 and for that purpose to enter
into a contract with the said Winnington and wife for sa_~d sale in tLe name of
the City of Bremerton, the said contract to provide for a cash paymo, nt of $75.00,
and the balance in the sum of $300.00 payable in monthly installments of $5.00 per
month plus interest at seven per cent per aumzm, payable at the time said install-
ments are paid, the said contract to provide that the purchaser shall pay the
taxes and assessments hereafter levied, and provide that time be the essence of
the contract, with forfeiture of moneys paid~ in the event that the purchase price
is not paid within the time provided 'therein, and also to execute s: deed in the
name of the City of Bremerton, in favor of John R. Winnington and Gussie B.
Winnington, his wife, the said deed to be retained by the City Clerk until the
full purchase price is paid, together with interest thereon, and to be delivered
to said purchaser at such time as the said purchase price and interest are paid
in full.
PASSED by the City Co~mcil of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Nayor and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, on the 4th day of
August, 1943.
