RESOLUT-ION NO.
WHEREAS, the problem of furnishing a detention home for Juvenile offenders is a
problem of the County of Kitsap, and
WHEREAS the present county juvenile detention home has on numerous occasions be so
crowded that county authorities have been unable to take into custody Juvenile offenders
arrested by the Bremerton City Police,
NOW T!IERI~FORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the Oity of Bremerton thst the
Honorable H. G. Sutton, Judge of the Superior Court, Fred Vetters, Sheriff of Kitsap
County, m~d t~e Co~mty Commissioners be urged to immediately provide the necessary
facilities for the detention of Juvenile offenders so that it will not be necessary to
detain juveniles in the c'ty jail of the ~ity of Bremerton.
BE IT FURTH~R RESOLVED that the City Clerk forward copies of this resolution to
Judge ti. G. Sutton, Sheriff Vetters and the Board of County Commissioners.
PASSED UNANI~gOUSLY by the City Council of the Oity of Bremerton, signed by the
