RESOLUTION NO. 2~0
WNEREAS, the case of Shyvers & Shyvers vs. City of Bremerton and Art Morken, Chief
of Police, was handled successfully by the City Attorney's office through the Superior
Court and the Supreme Court of the State of Washington, and the City Attorney has ex-
pende(~ the following sums for the purposes hereinafter indicated, as necessary and
proper expenditures in connection with said litigation:

AN~ Wt~EREAS, the City Attorney has filed receipts or cancelled checks showing
payment of the respective sums hereinabove set forth in said total amount of $~4.77,
AN W~]I~EAS, the Fletcher Company received double payment for said iteE of $40.1~
for printing briefs, having been paid both by J~es W. Bryan, Jr., and by Warrant No.
30670, drawn on the Current Expense F~md and charged to the City Attorney budget, and
sai~l Fletcher and Company has refunded said s~m of $40.17 to the City Treasurer and has
his receipt t~erefor,
NOW ~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That sai~ Warrant No. 30670 be ca~celle~ as having been
issued in error an~ the expenditure of said s~2n by said warrant be expunged from the
recor~ of expenditures charged to the City Attorney's budget for the year 194~.
BE IT F~H~TM~ RESOLVED, That J~mes W. Bryan, Jr., City Attorney, has collected ~89.60,
the amount of the judgment and court costs awarded in the Superior ~ Supreme Courts of
the State of Washington against Shyvers & Shyvers in sa~ law suit, has reimburse~ himself
for the expenditures hereinabove liste8 in the sum of $?4. 7?, ' and has paid the balance
of said sum in the amo~mt of ,~14.83 to the City Treasurer, which action o~ the part of
the City Attorney is hereby fully approved.
PASSED.by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signe~ by the Meyor, and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this 13th day of January,
1943.
