WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton is purchasing the following described real property
under contract and has granted an option on said property to the Housing Authority of the
City of Bremerton, and a deed from the present owner, as grantor, to the City of Bremerton,
as grantee, has been placed in escrow with the Port Orchard Abstract Company, as escrow
agent, for delivery to the City of Bremerton upon payment of the balance of purchase price,
and
~.~HERE~S, the Housing Authority of the City of Bremerton has plsced the sum of $7500.00,
the agreed purchase price, in escrow with the Port Orchard Abstract Company, to be delivered
to the City of Bremerton, upon execution of a good and valid deed from the City of Sremerton,
es grantor, to the Housing Authority of the City of Bremerton, as grantee,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, that the
City of Bremerton sell the following described property to the Housing Authority of the City
of Bremerton, for $7500.00 in cash:
The Southeast Quarter of the Southeast quarter, Section 16, Township 24 North,
Range I East, W.M., Kitsap County, Washington,
and
Lots i to 7 inclusive, Plat of Fernwood, Kitsap County, Washington.
BE IT F~THER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are authorized and
directed to execute a warranty deed on behalf of the City of Bremerton, as grantor, in favor
of the Housing Authority of the City of Bremerton, as grantee, and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to deposit the said deed with the Port Orchard Abstract Company, at
Bremerton, Washington, excrow agent, to be delivered to the said grantee upon payment to the
City of Bremerton of $7500.00, less the balance of the purchase price payable by the City of
Bremerton, under the terms of that certain contract between Adrian Aarts and wife as sellers,
snd the City of Bremerton, as buyer, the title to the said property, subject to said contract,
having been trasferred to C. W. Wallace and wife, by said Aarts and wife.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to execute and deliver to the Housing Authority of the City of ~remerton, an Owner's
Certificate on a form provided by the U.S.Housing Authority.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested
by the City Clerk in authentication thereof, this 6th day of November, 1940.
