WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Bremerton
by C. W. Wallace, from whom the City of Bremerton is purchasing the following
described property under contract:
Lots I to 7 inclusive, Plat of Fernwood, and the Southeast quarter of
the Southeast quarter, Section 16, Township 24 North, Range i E. W.M.,
Kit sap County,
and Lizzie Houle asking the vacation of the following streets, which said streets
lie entirely within the above described area:
That portion of Western Avenue which lies north of the south line of
Lot l, Plat of Fernwood, ex,tended northwesterly, and all of Second
Street in said Plat of Fernwood,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY C05~ISSION OF THE CITY OF BRE~ERTON:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Bremerton fix Wednesday, the 20th
day of November, 1940, at the hour of ten o'clock A.M., as the time when said
petition shall be heard and determined by the said Commission.
2. That the City Clerk is directed forthwith to post written or printed notices
of the said hearing in three of the most conspicuous places in the City of Bremerton,
and a like notice in a conspicuous place on the said streets which are sought to be
vacated, and which said notice shall contain a statement that the said petition has
been filed with this commission to vacate the said property, together with a state-
ment of the time and place fixed by this resolution for the hearing of the said
petition.
PASSED by the Commission of the City of Bremerton, this 23rd dey of October,
1940.
