WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton has a total of 17.5 miles of concrete, bituminous
and brick streets, and a large percentage of the alleys paved, that the purchase of
a Mechanical Street Sweeper is necessary to properly service all streets, avenues
and alleys of this classification within the corporate limits of the city and,
Vg~IEREAS, the growth of the city has made it necessary to either increase the
number of men in the City Street Department or purchase equipment in order to properly
maintain said streets,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE City Commission of the City of Bremerton hereby makes a~pli-
cation recuesting the State Highway Department for funds in the amount of Two Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00), to be granted from the State Gas Tax funds allocated
to the City of Bremerton, to be used as a partial payment on a Mechanical Street
Sweeper as herein set out.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this 24th day of July,
1940.
